Career Highlights

• Jai Reed is a native of New Orleans, LA (He pronounces his first name “Jay”)

• He is best known as a Gospel Recording Artist but has an extensive resume singing R&B, Classic Soul, and Love ballots.

• He began singing at his local church as a child; later traveled with and sang in Tyler Perry’s musical plays; He has gone on to perform on stages across the US and also on international Stages.  In December 2019 he sang the National Anthem at the NFL’s New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers playoff game inside the New Orleans Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

• He was twice nominated for the Gospel Music Stellar Award and has won several other music awards including: The Rhythm of Gospel Award; New Orleans Viewers Choice Award; The Big Easy Award; and in 2019 The Gulf Coast Gospel Music Award – Male Vocalist of the Year.

• He has four gospel CDs to his credit:  1) Anointed For Purpose (Stellar Award nominated); 2) Self-Titled - Jai Reed; 3) Songs from My Heart; and 4) His latest project scheduled for release in Spring 2020 – The Journey. Two singles from The Journey, ‘I Trust You Lord’ and ‘Testimony’ have already been released.

• 2023 Recipient of the Trailblazer Award from NOLA Gospel Music Awards.

• In addition to being a Gospel recording artist, Jai Reed is now in his fourteenth year as Senior Pastor of New Beginnings in New Orleans, LA.
